TORBAYAUCTIONS was created and established as a "Brand name" back in 1975, (over 35 years ago).

It started out in 1975 and quickly established as an antique business on the famous Portobello Road, Notting Hill in London. By 1978 the business had leased a double fronted unit in the prestigious "Grays" antique market in Davies Mews, just off Mayfair in London. Just over a year later, ( October 1979), it had expanded even further, this time into South West London and I took over a double fronted unit in the World famous "Antiquarius" on the ever trendy Kings Road, Chelsea in London. It was then in 1982 that a conscious and decisive decision was made to open the first "Auction Warehouse". This was to be a large 6,500 square ft warehouse situated in the Fullham Road, (beside the Chelsea football ground), London. By the end of September 1982, the business had completely transgressed into being purely an auction based business. TORBAY AUCTIONS  moved back into West Sussex in the early 1990's whch has been it's home ground ever since. We have been firmly and happily trading here ever since.

TORBAY AUCTIONS was created with the express aim to serve as a regional centre and organisation that provides an excellence of service for valuations and sales by auctioning all types of goods and items from industrial & commercial, to complete household items, gold, silver, precious stones, paintings, antique and modern furniture and all fine art in the West Sussex & East Sussex, Surrey & London plus other regions of England.

We combine an international standard of expertise and marketing with the efficiency and flexibility that only TORBAYAUCTIONS  can offer .
